Starting in September, Bishop McNally High School will be starting a RockBand/ Guitar Hero Club. From Monday to Thursday, during the lunch break, students will be able to play either RockBand or Guitar Hero (depending on the games the school has available).

"Students at Bishop McNally are excited about the generous gift from Terry DiMonte from the Terry and Patti show on Classic Rock Q-107FM; the "Music at Lunch" program using RockBand and Guitar Hero games will be launching in September. Stay tuned for dates and contests."

Terry Dimonte, from Q107 (Classic Rock) has helped to promote the club and in fact is donating a game system to the club. The promotion has resulted in several “Playstation 2” systems being donated to the school. In fact Paul Gardner not only donated a Playstation 2, but also a set of powered speakers, a Guitar Hero 1 Game and controller, and he even purchased a complete RockBand game set to help the club get started.

Bishop McNally now has a Virtual Guitar Club. Free lessons are available to members everyday, 24 hours a day. Simply sign-up in Mr. Hoar’s room and then you can access the club from d2l. A discussion forum has been set up for members to talk to each other and discuss all aspects of playing the guitar.

As this is a “virtual” club there are no meetings to attend or people to deal with…unless you want to. Join now and learn how to play the songs that you love.
