No man is above the law and no man is below it; nor do we ask any man's permission when we ask him to obey it. Obedience to the law is demanded as a right; not asked as a favor. ~ Theodore Roosevelt
The CTS course of Legal Studies deals with teaching those who aspire to study more about the Canadian law and apply it to their education, as well as learn about the history and details surrounding it. A general introduction to how the law relates with a student’s personal life is first taught and various levels of jurisdiction, before the course moves on to teaching specifics such as Criminal, Family, and Labour Law in depth, and the study of legal statutes and for what reason are they in place.
Currently Legal Studies 15 (Introduction) is being offered as a CTS option course. Legal Studies 20 modules as well as 10 and 30 levels are offered in Self-Directed Studies.
