RS 35 (grade 12)
This Senior High Religious Studies Program addresses the general themes of goodness and relating. Its principal aim and intention is to help students understand how over the ages, great prophets, thinkers and scholars have searched for philosophical principles to guide them to a deeper realization of “what is good for human beings.” RS 35 examines the nature and history of these philosophical quests in light of our Catholic faith and its witness to the Gospel. The nature of the Christian experience and the “good news” of Jesus Christ to assist individuals and societies in their on-going search to find what is good will be explored in depth. Religious Studies 35 will be offered in a traditional classroom setting or through self-paced study under the direction of a teacher. 3 credits. Pre-requisite: 50% in Religious Studies 25.
