Welcome to Counselling Department of Student Services

The Counselling Department at Bishop Mc Nally High School is here to assist Bishop Mc Nally Students and parents as much as possible. We hope this will help you, stay informed and access other important resources at Bishop Mc Nally . So…we’ll start by introducing our counselling department and letting you know how you or your son/daughter may contact us. Our department consists of Mrs.Glenda Hubbs, counselling secretary, ext. 428. Mrs. Hubbs is the first smiling face that will greet you as you come through the counselling door.

All counsellors are trained with a Masters Degree and have experience working in junior and senior high schools. Counsellors can assist in the following areas: academic—scheduling of classes; career-exploration, referrals,etc., scholarships and post-secondary areas; personal and social/emotional issues; short term individual counselling; group counselling and referral to district programs and outside professionals and agencies.

Our Career Practitioner, Mrs. Marchand, ext. 427, can help your son/daughter explore the important area of long term career aspirations.
If your son/daughter wishes to access any of the counsellors, an appointment may be made directly with Mrs. Hubbs or by asking their teacher advisor to assist them in accessing counselling services. Each student has a designated counsellor. If your son/daughter is not sure who their assigned counsellor is, just ask his/her teacher advisor. Parents may also contact a counsellor at any time at their aforementioned extensions.

Mrs. Marchand, our Career Practitioner, is available to all students at Bishop Mc Nally. Students may book appointments through her directly.
